Riesling wines are our speciality.

We have all the classic wines, starting with ripe Kabinetts from the main harvest, including our late vintage Spätlese and our selected superior Auslese varieties as well as a number of highly prized rare wines. These are available in dry, half-dry, sweet and intensely sweet variants to ensure that you can enjoy them to their utmost and the unique slate soil in which they are grown is evident in their mineral content, their full body and their rich aroma. We strictly separate them after harvesting according to the areas in which they were grown in order to ensure a unique diversity of high quality Mosel-Riesling wines.

These different areas correspond to early-season wines such as Riesling-Classic, Riesling-Feinherb (bittersweet) and Riesling-Hochgewächs (higher-alcohol content) and above all some of our stronger wines which are presented in a Bordeaux bottle with a watercolour label.
Apart from certain features unique to their vintage, these wines tend to keep a consistent taste-profile year on year.
On a small patch of more level terrain we also cultivate wine of the ‘Müller-Thurgau’ variety.
In good years, provided we have particularly ripe and healthy grapes, we develop dry ‘Rivaner’wine.

Our ‘Eiswein’ or ice wine is a Riesling speciality of particular quality.

We of course harvest it by hand and then press it at temperatures of at least eight degrees below zero. The result of this is a concentrated wine of premium quality with a taste unique to this method.

This sweet speciality wine lends itself to many occasions: as an aperitif, a dessert wine, or as an accompaniment to blue cheese.

For some years we have also been growing red wine.

In the best areas of the Mosel wine region we have been planting the Spätburgunder and Regent varieties since 1998.
The Spätburgunder grape variety gives a soft, smooth red wine as well as fruity Weißherbste rosés. The Regent variety, which incidentally does not have to be spray treated with pesticides, gives full, complex red wines with discreet smoky highlights. By blending these two wines together we can produce a cuvée red-wine blend of incomparable quality which combines the attributes of the individual grape varieties and results in a diverse, multi-faceted taste experience.
All our red wines are stored exclusively in vintage oak casks.

Competitions have confirmed the excellence of our wines.

In the biannual Italian international mountain wine competition run by ‘CERVIM’ our wines have been awarded both silver medals and diplomas.
We were equally successful in the Rheinland-Palatinate wine awards as well as in the ‘Der beste Schoppen’ (The Best Glass) competition.
